HOFBURG Silvesterball - Magic moments at the turn of the year
The staterooms of the Hofburg will be transformed into a fragrant sea of flowers thanks to eye-catching round floral arrangements. As always, the spellbinding midnight production plays out against the backdrop of a spectacular firework display, the ringing of the Pummerin bell at St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the traditional Blue Danube Waltz. You can also pick your very own four-leaf clover and pin your New Year’s resolution to our wish tree. There is also an exquisite four-course menu to enjoy as well as New Year’s cocktails from the numerous bars dotted throughout the venue. This year’s HOFBURG Silvesterball promises to be a glittering ball night full of magic moments, which is the theme for 2015. World-class artists from the Vienna State Opera and Vienna Volksoper such as Anita Götz, Boris Eder, Juliette Mars, Paul Schweinester and Maya Hakvoort will be performing in outfits tailored by Art for Art. The festivities planned for 2015 will also see big-name bands and orchestras take to the various stages at the former imperial winter residence, and feature catchy dance rhythms spanning a full range of genres from waltz to jazz. Experience a night to remember, and dance the night away to the strains of the popular public quadrille, or groove to the live DJ sounds in the disco.Avid dancers should book tickets early – places in the Festsaal and Zeremoniensaal are hot property!
