Is there a list of rental prices for the Hofburg Conference Centre?

Is the Hofburg Congress Centre wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the main event rooms are all accessible by lift.

What official requirements require our compliance? Does our event have to be registered?

The Hofburg Vienna will notify police authorities and the building owner (Burghauptmannschaft Oesterreich), as required, of your event.

Is smoking permitted in the rooms at the Hofburg Vienna?

Everyone must always comply with the smoking bans stipulated under the prevailing Austrian Tobacco Act.  A strict smoking ban applies at the Hofburg Vienna, except in designated smoking areas. The Hofburg’s operating company assumes no liability, either for any failure to comply with smoking bans or for damages – including third party damages – that may be incurred by smoking.

Are candlelight and other manner of open fire permitted?

No. No open fire of any kind is permitted in the premises of the historic congress centre.

Is it possible to tour the Hofburg Vienna?

Yes, but only to a limited extent. You can go on the tours of the parts of the Hofburg complex which are open to the public during regular hours. These include Imperial Apartments, the Sisi Museum, the Treasury and Imperial silver collection, die Austrian National Library and the Spanish Riding School. Who actually owns the Hofburg?

The entire property is owned by the people of the Republic of Austria. The property manager is the Burghauptmannschaft Oesterreich. The congress centre is a private business operated by Wiener Kongresszentrum Hofburg Betriebsgesellschaft m.b.H.

Which hotels are located in closest proximity to the Hofburg?

Where to find us & parking

Is there parking available for attendees at the Hofburg Vienna?

We are pleased to provide you with the option of reserving up to 80 parking spaces at Heldenplatz. For further details, please feel free to contact our project managers at vienna@hofburg.com.

Is there a loading zone?

Yes. Each event organiser is entitled to use a designated loading zone for inbound/outbound deliveries. Your designated project manager will coordinate the details with you.
 

How far is the airport from the Hofburg Conference Centre?

A taxi ride from Vienna International Airport (in Schwechat) takes about 20 minutes on average. The City Airport Train (CAT) will get you to the Wien-Mitte Train Station in 16 minutes. From there, it’s just a 5-minute ride on the underground to the Hofburg. For additional details, please see getting to the Hofburg Vienna.

Is there a car park in proximity to the Hofburg?

Services

Are we permitted to engage a caterer of our own choosing?

We must respectfully decline this request. At the Hofburg Vienna, the designated Hofburg Caterers (DO & CO and MOTTO) are available to provide you with all catering services and any consulting needs.

May we engage our own technical service provider?

Yes, this is permitted. However, if possible, we would ask that you also consult with our preferred partners.

Have the event facilities been furnished with permanent plant decorations?

No. We gladly refer you to both of our partner vendors, who can assist you with all matters related to plants and flowers.

May we photograph the event and, if so, may the pictures be passed on to third parties?

Yes, you are permitted to take the photographs yourself. If the images are to be published for non-commercial purposes, then the picture credit “Hofburg Vienna” must be affixed to each one. If the images are to be published for commercial purposes, then we request that you engage one of our registered partner vendors.

What are the dimensions of the freight elevators?

The freight elevators to the Hofburg Festsaele measure 4.2 m (depth) x 1.5 m (width) x 2.1 m (height) with a maximum load capacity of 4,200 kg. The freight elevators to the Redoutensaele measure 1.5 m (depth) x 2.35 m (width) x 2.25 m (height) and a maximum load capacity of 2,000 kg. Note that the width of the doors is 1.8 meters.
