The CompanyOur company Wiener Kongresszentrum Hofburg Betriebsgesellschaft m.b.H. (the Hoburg Vienna) assumed in 1969 the management of the conference and event centre within the scope of a lease agreement with the owner of the property the Republic of Austria.
The Hofburg Vienna conference and event centre is located within the Hofburg complex, specifically in the Schweizer Trakt (Swiss Wing), the Leopoldinischer Trakt (Leopold Wing) and the Neue Burg. Its origins date back to the 13th century.
Formerly the imperial residence for centuries, today it is the premiere venue for congresses and conventions, fairs and exhibitions as well as banquets, balls and concerts.
The Hofburg Vienna generates an annual net revenue of ten to eleven million euro. Every year, the 300 events hosted here draw approximately 320,000 guests from every point on the globe into the congress centre.
Over 60 per cent of the companys master clients and regular customers have expressed a markedly positive impression of the attractiveness and appeal that prevails at the imperial administrative centre. In spite of the challenging global economic environment over the past few years, the Hofburg Vienna was not only able to achieve consistent revenues from business operations, but even to score increases in certain business segments. Well over 70 per cent of the events scheduled here are international in scope.
