The Ball of the Viennese University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences is very special in character. Beside elegant ball gown the guests present themselves in traditional Austrian dresses. Also the ball programme is a symbiosis of traditional folk dance, waltz music and trendy rhythms. The ball attracts people from all parts of Austria.

According to a study half of the Austrian ball guests from the Boku Ball come from Vienna followed by guests from Lower Austria, Upper Austria and Styria. Together with the other Hofburg balls the ball season in the former imperial residence shows an added value of 7,5 Million Euro for Austria and 10,2 Million Euro for Vienna. All in all more than 55,000 guests will take part in the 20 balls of the Hofburg Palace. In the ball season 2012/13 the Hofburg Vienna will be very proud hosting the premiere of the New Year's Eve ball "Le Grand Bal".
