On 31 December 2012 LE GRAND BAL will celebrate a glittering premiere at the Hofburg Vienna, where differently themed rooms will leave ballgoers wide-eyed with wonder. The ball will get the New Year off to an elegant and stylish start with lavish decorations, and musical highlights courtesy of waltz, jazz and swing ensembles.
The number of congresses and meetings held in Vienna in the year 2011 was 7% higher than in 2010, the bednights rose by 6 % up to 1,412,133 and the added value increased by 9 % as well to a new level. The record year for Vienna is backed up by the very successful numbers the Hofburg Vienna has to present for 2011!
Every year Vienna hosts around 450 balls that generate a total turnover of EUR 80 million. Twenty of them take place in the Hofburg Vienna and contribute with an added value of EUR 10 million.
